1) The line pattern(the dash style and length and the space length)
2) The line style(Colour, line weight number and the line pattern(1)

Hi Peter,
thank you for the tutorial and fast replay. Now i know how to create linepattern myself, but i have still one question - is there any way to add characters to this linepattern? In Estonia we mark like waterpipe with linepattern what looks like something this ---------V-----------V--------. In Autocad you can make this linepattern, maybe there is way to make same in Revit or i can at least import autocad line?

Currently i do not know the answer, you can import(not link) a cad file, then explode it and it leaves the line types in the project file but i'm not sure if it will leave the ones like your example, i'll have a think about it and get back to you.

I have an answer, create a repeating detail, to start create a detail component, the text has to be an imported acad block as normal revit text will disappear and then add a line to it, load it into the project, then select repeating detail, dupicate type, select your new detailed component as the object, reset the spacing to suit the lenght of your object. it will only really work for one scale so you wold have to maake different families for different scales, the line will be only visible in the view you draw it in and actually wont be in the line category as its not a real revit line. hope this helps
